Vixen - the Jewelry Tree Reindeer

Had a very normal nose
But if you ever saw her
You would see she wore no clothes

All of the other reindeer
(All of which shall be un-named )
Had a way of making Vixen
Bow her head and feel ashamed

Then one warm and lazy night
Suzan walked on by
Tossed a ring or two her way
and Vixen said " Oh my ! "

Now all the other reindeer
No longer look at her with scorn

In fact they all were wishing
They could also be adorned........................

Unlike Santa, I make my reindeer work year round
Well Vixen and Dancer anyway

I sang the song to John.

John says - Have you had a knock? ( this must be a British Expression - he's the only one I know that says it
John says - You know you really should be committed.......................
John says - Does anyone actually read this stuff?
John says - And it's blatant plagiarism

OMG
DISCLAIMER !!!!!!!!!!!!
Robert L. May created Rudolph in 1939 as an assignment for Chicago-based Montgomery Ward. The retailer had been buying and giving away coloring books for Christmas every year and it was decided that creating their own book would save money. Rudolph was supposed to be a moose but that was changed because a reindeer seemed friendly.
ORIGINAL LYRICS BY JOHNNY MARKS  ( Robert L May's brother-in-law )
( I thought it was Bing Cosby - so you learn something every single day )
First sung by Gene Autry - Christmas 1949

( my version, however, can be sung all year long )

And I kind of like that they add a bit of fun to an otherwise adult space - being a grown up is so over rated - don't you think?

Have a wonderful day everyone - an absolutely wonderful one !

Much love,
Me

  3. I have a hand collection and my jewelry gets hung on some of my hands. I love looking at the hands and I love looking at my favorite pieces that I am not wearing.

  4. One day a blogging reader
    Found a really cool idea
She read a blog where Suzan
    Had a cool reindeer play

Once she saw how Suzan’s deer
    Went to town adorned
    She felt her own jewelry
    Must have felt so scorned

    Now this blogger reader
    Felt she surely must atone
    For leaving her adornments
    Feeling so left alone

    …. Film at 11.
    Take that John! lololol

  6. Actually, I like your version. It has inspired me to go through my "stuff" and see if I have something I could so adorn! Wait! I do have a statue of St. Francis of Assisi which I could adorn with all my metals and rosaries (It is a very Catholic thing!) for which I try to be a very good girl and pray every day for my BIG MOUTH which could easily hold my size 10 foot which I frequently put into it!!! Now if I could only come up with a jingle to go along with it! Thanks! Nanny

  13. Tell John WE ALL (yes am speaking for everyone else that reads your blog) LAUGH and LAUGH and LAUGH when we read your blog . It is witty glorious, lovely and makes us all happy. Of course only at the happy funny and witty bits . Would not want to laugh at the serious bits otherwise we all would have had a knock, as John suggested. :-)
    Happy Sunday Evening!
