Little Things (petite choses )

I am so thrilled with this makeover - as hesitant as I was to do anything to it at all I am in love with it.

Remember?

and for everyone who loves wood-
this would be the time for you to walk away -
no apologies this time - I like it too much!!!

and for the piece de resistance..................drum roll - here she is ( I know I'm bragging but I love it and can't help myself, lol )

Here are a few close ups of details

God - I love Annie Sloan

I left the wood on top - the contrast looks so pretty

left all the original brass hardware

dollar store stencilling ( this particular stencil is my signature, it goes on every piece I do -
usually on the back of the furniture ) but they look pretty on the doors, n'est pas?

I haven't done the mirror yet - because I was in such a hurry to take pics and show off.

I didn't touch the wood surface, what do you think - I love it but maybe it should be darker?
Let me know because I'm not sure what to do!

And one of my girlfriends gave me a Paris frame for my birthday - so I downloaded a Paris Subway Map -
kind of cool?

Thanks Sandy!!!
 And one last time

ASCP - old white - 1 coat -

Ok - bragging is all done for the day - on to the next thing
Promise I'll be more humble next time

FIN!!!

  4. This looks really great! I love that piece- I was confused at first to see drawers inside the cabinets- It's awesome!

  5. Really great job. For me it needs an "S" at the end of "petite" to make the plurality agree with the word "choses". It appears the words would still line up just fine. And j'adore your framed Metro map. Jo @ Let's Face the Music

  9. I had to do a French to English translation on the word "choses". At first, I thought it was a mistake! My bad. Great dresser! I think the dark top would really set it off nicely. IMHO.

  11. Found you by way of Elizabeth & Co. Great work. Have to get some of that Annie Sloan's paint. Fun to see what you did with such a beautiful dresser. Isn't it fun when it all works out? Nice!
